Sandra Bullock donates $1 MILLION to Japan

Sandra Bullock is, in a word, AWESOME.

She's also very generous. Yes, the Oscar-winning actress, and mom of adorable 1-year-old Louis, has donated $1,000,000 to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts in Japan. The charity revealed this news to CNN earlier today.

Sandra's is apparently the greatest celebrity donation to the charity's relief efforts thus far -- in addition to some nameless donations, the charity said.

Other celebrities have supported the Red Cross via social media -- $2.6 million dollars in text messages, and counting.

Sandra has also been extremely giving in the past. She donated $1,000,000 to Haiti relief efforts, and has been actively involved in the rebuilding of New Orleans.
