Reese Witherspoon opens up about her and her husband's arrest, and shares how hard it was to discuss the event with her kids.
Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon, 37, did some damage control on Good Morning America yesterday (Wednesday).
Appearing very sincere and apologetic, the mom of three spoke about her and hubby Jim Toth's recent arrest (him for drunk driving, and her for disorderly conduct) as the interview opened.

"We went out to a restaurant in Atlanta, and we had one too many glasses of wine," she explained.
"We thought we were fine to drive, and we were absolutely not, and we are so sorry and just so embarrassed," she added. "We know better and we shouldn't have done that."
"We made a mistake," she said, "and it was something that will absolutely never happen again."
Reese then went on to acknowledge her behaviour toward the police officer, blaming her craziness ("Do you know my name?") on panic.
"I was so disrespectful to him," she confessed. "I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It's just unacceptable."
"I have no idea what I was saying. That night I saw him arresting my husband, and I panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I said I was pregnant," she added. "I'm not pregnant."
The "hardest part" of this whole thing has been talking to her kids — Deacon, 9, and Ava, 13. "We have to say when you make a mistake, you take responsibility, and we are taking responsibility, and we are doing everything within our power to make it right."
