PRINCE WILLIAM and KATE ARE EXPECTING!

It's official! The Duchess of Cambridge, 30, is pregnant! Here's the royal statement — just in this morning:

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.

The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.

This is obviously HUGE news around the world.

And this is a historic pregnancy: For the first time in history, if the baby is a girl, she will inherit the throne from her father, Prince William.

In addition to their home at the palace, Kate and William will be moving from their current four-bedroom farmhouse in Anglesey, North Wales, to a 20-room apartment at Kensington Palace early next year.

By the way, this photo (above) was taken just last week. When I saw it, I remember thinking, "Gosh, her face looks a little puffy. I bet she's pregnant." So, I basically CALLED IT! In my head.... Hee!

Congrats to Kate, William and the royal family! And we wish Kate well.
