New dad Robert Downey Jr. introduces baby Exton (Photos!)

Check out Robert Downey Jr., 47, grabbing an iced coffee from Starbucks earlier today, in Wilmington, Carolina, where he's filming the next installation of Iron Man.

Robert's become quite the hot topic lately with the recent release of the box-office mega-hit, The Avengers. Though we love him sooo as Iron Man, he's most proud of his role as dad to new baby Exton Elias (and, of course, to his first son, 18-year-old Indio).

Exton is Robert's first child with his producer wife, Susan, and he couldn't wait to share baby pics on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Thursday. Check them out in this clip from the show:

In the clip, Jay asks Robert to share the baby photos (for the first time with the public, incidentally), and Robert jokes, “I have to exercise just a little restraint....I mean, if you want me to, I will.” Heheh!

“He’s so darn cute, isn’t he?” Robert asks. YES! DARN CUTE!

Robert also shares the family origin of the baby's name. “My wife’s great-uncle Joe was kind of eccentric," Robert says. "When he was in fourth grade, he realized he didn’t have a middle name, so he changed his name to J. Exton."
