Melissa McCarthy: Christmas shopping and famous playdate!

What a weekend! First of all, Happy Hanukkah to all those celebrating. My kids are officially spoiled rotten, and so are their Furbies (Lord help me), after only the first two days of Hanukkah — but they are loving it! And I have eaten one too many latkes and too too many chocolate gelt (coins). But I did go to Ashtanga yoga this morning, so I'm up for the challenge of a healthy week.

Anyway, many of you are still out buying your Christmas presents because you all still have a while to go before the big gift-giving day. And you're not alone! Here's Mike and Molly actress Melissa McCarthy (left) out Christmas shopping in Los Angeles, California, with her five-year-old daughter, Vivian, yesterday.

Vivian was wearing those fabulous ruby slippers, and I'm loving Melissa's neon laces.

Melissa's next big flick is The Heat, which hits theatres in April, and costars Sandra Bullock. Apparently, the two really hit it off on set and are good friends now. Sandra's two-year-old son, Louis, had a playdate with Melissa's two-year-old daughter, Georgette, just last week. Sweet!
