The fashionable Duchess of Sussex is expecting her first child in Spring 2019—which means we can expect lots of stylish maternity looks from her until then. Check back often because we will be adding photos regularly.

Meghan gave fans the ultimate throwback three months after she and Prince Harry welcomed baby Archie Harrison. In an Instagram post about her fashionable new initiative with the women’s charity, a capsule collection launching in fall 2019, the new mom shared a behind-the-scenes snap from one of her secret visits to Smart Works (one of her royal patronages). The expectant mom wore a USD$3980 tweed Gucci dress with her wavy brown locks framing her glowing face.
Photo: @sussexroyal via InstagramThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who visited New Zealand last October while on tour Down Under, stepped out unexpectedly to pay their respects to victims of the recent mosque shootings in Christchurch. The very pregnant royal, who is due to welcome her first child in about a month, wore a black coat with caped sleeves and matching pumps for the somber occasion, and added a particularly meaningful touch with her choice of accessories—Meghan wore the gold Boh Runga earrings that were gifted to her by the country’s Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. According to the brand’s website, the crossed-feather design is part of Māori mythology and “the Miromiro feather was a magic token of devotion that would bring loved ones back to you.”
Photo: Getty ImagesMeghan traded her green Erdem getup for a cream Victoria Beckham ensemble faster than you can say “Jackie O.” Channelling the iconic American First Lady on both of the day’s outings, the royal mom-to-be’s second look featured a chain-print midi dress with a textured coat and matching pillbox hat. She topped the look off with forrest-green accessories, gliding on yet another pair of towering stilettos (at almost eight months pregnant!) as she made her way into Westminster Abbey holding Prince Harry’s hand.
Photo: Getty ImagesMeghan toasted the country that was her home while filming Suits with a special Commonwealth Day visit to Canada House—and yes, things got real Canadian real fast. The duchess tried her hand making traditional maple taffy on snow and was gifted the ultimate Canuck baby pack (a maple leaf onesie, tiny socks in what looks like Hudson’s Bay’s signature stripes and baby moccasins), looking every inch the regal royal in an embellished green coat and matching bump-skimming dress by Montreal-born designer Erdem. She anchored the look with her favourite $825 Aquazzura Deneuve Bow pumps.
Photo: Getty ImagesThe newly appointed Vice President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust joined an influential group of women for a panel chat about feminist issues—and she was all business-chic maternity style for the occasion. Meghan debuted a new high-street piece, Reiss’s patterned Azzura shift dress (the $375 number is selling out fast!), and topped the mini dress off with her Alexander McQueen blazer and a Stella McCartney clutch. When asked about her “little bump,” the mom-to-be joked that she can feel the “embryonic kickings of feminism.”
Meghan joined the royal family at Buckingham Palace to mark the 50th anniversary of her father-in-law becoming the Prince of Wales—and she turned to one of her favourite non-maternity coats for the occasion. The mom-to-be let the cream Amanda Wakeley ‘Crombie’ design drape open over her metallic, floral-print dress (bookmark this styling trick to make your fave coats last while pregnant!). She accessorized with Paul Andrew’s ‘Pump It Up’ heels (available in black for a cool USD$695) and carried a pink satin Oyster clutch by Wilbur & Gussie.
Photo: Getty ImagesPrint AND colour for a visit with fellow royal, King Mohammed VI of Morocco. This dress is Carolina Herrera, and it’s probably our most favourite maternity outfit the Duchess has worn so far. It looks like the designer might have let out the elasticized waist for this bespoke version, but the original is available (for almost $5k, nbd) right here in a bunch of sizes.
Photo: Getty ImagesTo close out their quickie tour of Morocco, Meghan traded this morning’s casual fare for the perfect pleated little black dress—one that can grow along with her bump. She slipped on her Manolo Blahnik slingbacks, put oversized gold Gas Bijoux earrings in her lobes and topped the whole look off with a white blazer by one of her fave Canadian brands, Babaton. With her cream caftan the previous evening and now this pristine jacket, maybe the duchess is getting white out of her system before the coming onslaught of baby poop and spit-up?
Photo: Samir Hussein/Getty ImagesThe Duchess of Sussex kicked off the final day of her Moroccan tour with Prince Harry on a visit to learn how this club uses equine therapy to help children with disabilities, and she aced this dressed-down look. The field jacket is J.Crew, worn over a striped sweater and her go-to Hatch maternity skinny jeans with a pair of sold-out black Stuart Weitzman booties and gold bar studs by ethical Canadian jeweller Ecksand.
Photo: Samir Hussein/Getty ImagesA dreamy custom Dior caftan was just the ticket at a glitzy evening reception during Meghan and Harry’s three-day tour of Morocco. The royal pulled her brown locks into a tight bun and opted for all Dior accessories, from her sweet bee clutch to her gold pumps, plus a pair of diamond-encrusted Birks earrings (yours for just $12,000!).
Photo: Samir Hussein/Getty ImagesFor a trip to the mountains in Asni to learn about secondary education for rural girls, Markle kept cozy in a grey Wilfred scarf and a blue blazer by alice + olivia. The mom-to-be, who is in her third trimester, was all of us when she stuck to basic black for the rest of her look and slipped on a rare pair of flats—her go-to Birdies slippers (find a similar pair here for USD$120!)
This is how you make an entrance! The pregnant royal and her prince arrived late in Casablanca after a delayed flight, but this head-to-toe Valentino look more than made up for it! Meghan wore a bespoke red dress with an embroidered capelet, pale pink pumps and the label’s $2,585 pink v-ring bag.
Photo: Samir Hussein/Getty ImagesShe’s got her Big Apple maternity wardrobe down! The Duchess of Sussex was out in her second monochromatic look of the day, this time to grab a bite at The Polo Bar with besties like Serena Williams. Meghan dusted off the Victoria Beckham coat she first wore on Christmas Day and accessorized with calfskin Tamara Mellon boots and a Stella McCartney bag.
Photo: Getty ImagesMeghan looked perfectly relaxed as she strolled out of the Upper East Side hotel with gal pal Abigail Spencer. Visiting the venue of her intimate baby shower, the mom-to-be wore an all-black ensemble, pairing Hatch’s skinny black maternity jeans with a vintage Courrèges trapeze coat. She carried a Carolina Herrera tote large enough for all her pregnancy needs (snack, flats, etc.) and finished the look with a pair of nude suede pumps. At seven months pregnant, this mama is showing no sign of giving up her heels!
Photo: Getty ImagesA vision in white! Meghan joined Prince Harry for a gala performance of the museum’s latest production, Charles Darwin-inspired The Wider Earth. The pregnant royal secured another maternity style coup in a cozy white Calvin Klein turtleneck dress with a matching Amanda Wakeley coat and olive-green suede accessories. She topped it all off with a pretty side-parted bun and that inimitable maternity glow!
Photo: Getty ImagesFor her third day out in a row, the mom-to-be served up some serious maternity style inspo, looking every inch the snow princess in a roomy black coat with green suede boots by her go-to, Sarah Flint. Peaking out from under Meghan’s jacket was a belted, chiffon Oscar de la Renta dress featuring a whimsical animal print (monkeys and owls and deer, oh my!).
Getty ImagesRoyal rewear! The Duchess of Sussex dusted off the custom Givenchy coat she first wore on Remembrance Day to pop by her fourth patronage. The pregnant royal gave her bump room to breath by leaving the black topper unbuttoned over a pleated chiffon dress and finished the look with nude pumps, a tight ballerina bun and earrings by Canada’s Dean Davidson.
For an artsy outing at one of her new patronages, the National Theatre, Meghan showed her A-list style in a blush Brandon Maxwell dress with a matching blazer. The radiant mom-to-be anchored the look with the same strappy Aquazzura pumps that she first wore when she and Prince Harry announced their engagement in 2017! Got $765 to burn? A version is up for grabs at Holt Renfrew.
Photo: Getty ImagesFor the premiere performance of Cirque du Soleil’s latest show, Totem, an evening that benefited the Duke’s charity, Sentebale, the Duchess went full-on glam. Her gown is from one of her favourite designers, Roland Mouret, and three sizes are still available on Mytheresa is you have a cool $6k lying around.
Photo: Getty ImagesWhile visiting adorable animals at the Mayhew for her first time as a patron, Markle wore one of her most affordable pieces yet while showing off her newly popped belly. She donned a light-beige knit dress from H&M that retails for $39.99 and paired it with a cream Emporio Armani coat.
Photo: Getty ImagesThis was the Duke and Duchess’s first outing together of 2019, to a women’s charity and a centre for youth with disabilities. For the occasion, Meghan chose a striking colour combination. Her red coat is from Canadian brand, Sentaler, and her purple dress is from Aritzia. The dress has sold out, but you can still get your hands on the coat if you hurry.
Photo: Getty ImagesKensington Palace announced today that the Duchess is now Royal Patron of The National Theatre, The Association of Commonwealth Universities, Mayhew, and Smart Works. For her first outing of the year, she paid a visit to the latter, a charity that helps unemployed women get jobs. She wore this Hatch dress under a camel Oscar de la Renta coat, and accessorized with an earcuff from Kimai, a box tote from Victoria Beckham, and the now sold-out Plexi cow print pumps from Gianvito Rossi.
Photo: Getty ImagesIt looks like the Duchess just added another Canadian coat to her collection. For a trip to Brinsworth House to visit the Royal Variety Charity, she wore the Adelaida coat from Soia & Kyo, and you can still snag one… if you’re quick. Aside from the coat, she also wore studs from Maison Birks and a fitted floral dress from Brock Collection.
For a surprise appearance at The Fashion Awards earlier this month, the Duchess wore a gorgeous one-shoulder Givenchy gown. That choice made perfect sense, because she was there to present an award to the brand’s aristic director, Clare Waight Keller, who also designed her wedding gown.
Photo: Getty ImagesBack home in London, the Duchess attended The Royal Variety Performance in another gown by the same label who created the gorgeous blue caped one she wore in Fiji a month before, Safiyaa. The exact dress isn’t currently available on their site, but this one has the same black-and-white sequins, just carried through the whole gown.
Photo: Getty ImagesThis is a fun event name: The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge on Cockatoo Island. And what do you wear to such an event? The Duchess went with a white Altuzarra blazer overtop of her Invictus Games shirt, and another pair of black skinny jeans, this time from Mother. That’s the same denim brand she wore to the Invictus Games in Toronto for her first official appearance with her then-boyfriend, Prince Harry.
While her husband looked dashing in his dress uniform, the Duchess kept it simple for the official opening of the extension of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Memorial in Sydney. Her otherwise plain black dress from Emilia Wickstead gets a bit of visual interest from a row of white buttons, and her hat is from Irish milliner Philip Treacy.
Photo: Getty ImagesFor her second oufit of the day, Markle chose the navy Athena dress from Roksanda. Its contrasting periwinkle blue hem set it apart from the coutnless other navy dresses we’ve seen her in. She also showed Maison Birks some love with earrings and a bracelet from the Canadian brand.
Photo: Getty ImagesThis floor-length and flowy dress is a fun addition to Markle’s othwerwise no-pattern wardrobe, and it marks the second time she wore Martin Grant on this tour. This time, her beach-appropriate footwear were her go-to espadrilles from Spanish brand Castañer.
Photo: Getty ImagesA day on the sand calls for flats, of course, and Markle went with these cute ones from Rothy’s, a U.S. brand that makes all their shoes from recycled bottles. And to brave the ocean breeze, she topped her Club Monaco dress with her trusty trench coat from Martin Grant, another Australian label she favoured on this tour.
Photo: Getty ImagesA reception hosted by the Governor of Victoria, the Duchess debuted a navy wrap dress from Australia designer Dion Lee. Lee custom made the dress for her after he found out she tried on one of his dresses but didn’t purchase it. After she was photographed in it, the designer announced that the dress would be available on his website that evening and, no surprise here, the frenzy crashed his site.
Photo: Getty ImagesThe Duke and Duchess brought the rain to Dubbo on the second day of their Australian tour, and before they broke out their umbrellas, we got a peek at a more casual outfit from Markle. Her checked blazer is from pal Serena Williams’s label, Serena, and underneath is a crisp white button-down from Maison Kistuné. Her black skinny jeans are from Aussie label, Outland Denim, and her boots are from J.Crew.
Markle wrapped the first day of the royal couple’s Australian tour with a deviation from her usual neutral tones. Wearing a forest-green Brandon Maxwell shirt dress from the designer’s spring 2019 collection, its pleated skirt covered her growing bump. Markle paired her dress with a sentimental accessory: a pair of gold butterfly earrings that belonged to Princess Diana.
Photo: Getty ImagesIn her first official appearance after announcing her pregnancy, the Duchess showed off her bump in a sleeveless sheath dress by Australian designer Karen Ghee. Aptly named the “Blessed” dress, the mama-to-be wore paired it with nude pumps. If you’re looking to be similarly #blessed, you’ll have to wait. Shortly after Markle donned this dress, the designer’s site crashed, proving that #MarkleMania is just as strong down under.
Photo: Getty ImagesMarkle touched down in Australia for her first royal tour just hours before announcing her pregnancy. She hit the tarmac in a black coat with maroon trim from Harris Wharf London, paired with Mother denim black skinny jeans and Sarah Jay tortoiseshell heel pumps. Markle’s post-flight look was the epitome of comfy-chic, and it launched mass speculation that the binder she’s strategically carrying was covering a secret.
Photo: Getty ImagesThis is the look that started all the buzz. Just days before she and Prince Harry announced that they were pregnant, Markle stepped out at Princess Eugenie’s wedding in a navy Givenchy dress and coat. The roomy get-up was paired with a hat by Noel Stewart and leather Prada gloves—a perfect outfit for a crisp October day! Markle loved her outfit so much she chose to wear the coat throughout the ceremony (jk, she was 100% trying to hide her growing bb bump)!
