Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon and the twins: Family Day

Yes, it seems Mariah Carey, 42, took a break from feuding with her American Idol co-judge Nicki Minaj (*cough* publicity stunt? *cough*) this weekend to enjoy the "Family Day" event at Santa Monica Pier in California.

Mariah and her hubby, Nick Cannon, 31, spent the day hanging out with fans and posing for pics with the twins.

As you'll see in the pics below, Nick and Mariah left their 17-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, for a bit to go on a thrilling roller coaster ride together.

Nick and Mariah were actually at the event because Nick was hosting it. And of course, he and Mariah were quite the draw: Mariah looked fabulous in her hot red dress, and their adorable twins were dressed to impress — Monroe (above) in a pretty white dress, matching white shades and old-style toddler shoes, and Moroccan in khakis and a sweater.

Nick and Mariah have been married for four years and seem to be going strong. This has to be at least partly because, as my mom heard in an interview Nick did with Howard Stern, Nick really tries to do his own thing and avoid the Mr.-Mariah-Carey label. And clearly Mariah supports him.

It is, indeed, hard to bring up Mariah Carey without alluding to the big feud she's having with singer Nicki Minaj on the set of American Idol. As The Voice's Cee Lo Green has said in reference to the feud, "This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything's legit." Hmmm....
