That pregnancy slipped right through the cracks. Maybe that's why she's been MIA since the Women in Film’s 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards in June 2013 (above). Hmmm...
Yes, the 49-year-old Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated actress secretly welcomed a baby boy earlier this month — Wednesday, January 8. "Mother and baby are happy and healthy," her rep confirmed to various media outlets.

And the baby's name is... Bennett Armistead Schauer. Fancy! Actually, Laura starred in several episodes of the TV mini-series Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City back in the 90s... Maybe there's a connection?
This is the first child for The Big C star and her husband, real-estate agent Marc Schauer, who tied the knot in May 2009.
