Kim Kardashian is engaged! (Crazy ring alert!)

After six months of dating, Kim Kardashian and New Jersey Nets player, Kris Humphries, are engaged! Why is this so exciting? Because I do enjoy the Kardashian reality TV shows. Not that I PVR them. Surprisingly, I don't. But they're perfect candy when there's nothing better on TV and I a little need background noise when I'm working.

ANYWAY, this is also big news because the size of the ring is RIDICULOUS. Are you ready?

It's 20.5 carats...!

So it looks like Kris Humphries is marrying Kim Kardashian AND a body guard because she won't be able to leave home without one!

Here's what Kris told People about his proposal and the now infamous ring, which actually beats out Beyoncé's 18-carat diamond engagement ring from Jay-Z!

Her boyfriend of six months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, was waiting in her bedroom on bended knee with four words written in red rose petals: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”

“I didn’t expect this at all,” Kardashian, 30, tells People in an exclusive interview (out Friday) of the romantic, surprise proposal. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”

Humphries popped the question with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. “I just knew I wanted it to be big,” says Humphries, 26, who, with the help of Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner, planned an intimate family celebration later that evening.

That's right.... Kim's mom and fiance have the exact same name!

Not that I personally care too much about jewelry and price tags.... (I've pretty much given all my jewelry to my almost 6-year-old daughter! Or, well, I've allowed her to "borrow" it.) But, according to TMZ.com, the ring is worth $2 million. CRAZAY!

They're reporting that the ring was "designed by Lorraine Schwartz -- features a 16.5 carat emerald cut center stone flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids...for a grand total of 20.5 carats."
