How Katie Holmes celebrated Suri's birthday
Flowers, balloons, cupcakes and a Twitter pic: Here's how Katie Holmes marked her daughter, Suri's eighth birthday.
It's been a while since we've talked about Suri Cruise. Her parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, are managing quite nicely to keep her out of the spotlight. Katie, however, showed us a little slice of of their life the other day by tweeting about a birthday surprise she gave Suri, who turned eight last Friday, April 18.

In honour of the big birthday (eight years old, already?!), Katie, 35, took Suri out on the town in New York City—for sushi at the fancy A-list celeb haunt Nobu Next Door. Friends and family joined in on the fun, and enjoyed the sweet cupcakes Katie posted on Twitter...
"Best day ever!!!!!!" the former Dawson's Creek star captioned the pic.

Suri was reportedly showered with gifts from FAO Schwarz, among other presents, and flowers and balloons arrived at their Chelsea apartment earlier in the day, where they held a private party.
