Katie Holmes takes Suri for late-night treat (and more divorce details)

It hasn't even been a week since the big announcement that Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, and Katie, 33, and her daughter, Suri Cruise, 6, seem to be in good spirits. Indeed, a late-night trip to the ice cream shop in NYC didn't hurt!

Katie and Suri hit the Sundaes and Cones parlour in NYC's East Village late last night.The two looked like they were really enjoying each other's company, as usual, and their ice creams!

In the meantime, more divorce details have been surfacing. Apparently, Katie had secretly rented her own 3-bedroom apartment near Suri's gymnastics school shortly before filing for divorce. She and Suri swiftly moved out of the NYC apartment they shared with Tom, and are now living in the new abode.

 

While Katie and Suri enjoyed their ice cream last night, Tom spent the day — his 50th birthday — in LA with his (and ex, Nicole Kidman's) kids, Connor, 17, and Bella, 19. Apparently, there were plans for him to spend the big day with Katie and Suri.

Sad. No wonder a special treat for Suri was in order....
