Katie Holmes spends $50,000 on gifts for Suri

According to The Sun UK, Katie Holmes, 33, has spent around $50,000 on Christmas gifts for her daughter, Suri, 6.

The newspaper suggests Katie's showering Suri with extravagant gifts to make up for the difficult year she's had with her parents' break-up.

What did Katie buy her for all that money? Reportedly, she purchased a luxury Victorian playhouse that actually has running water and electricity! It retails for over $24,000. The Sun's sources say Katie will place it in the family garden.

Katie also purchased an iPad mini for Suri, and a kids' edition Mercedes Benz (for $9,000). Of course, Suri will also get a bunch of new designer clothes.

We have no solid details on what Tom and Katie's plans are for Suri over the holidays. Although, Tom has said he'll be spending the holidays with Suri and his two older kids (with Nicole Kidman), Isabella, 20, and Connor, 17. "We are all going to be together," he told People Magazine earlier this month. "I am looking forward to it."
