Jessica Simpson posts pregnant bikini photo

Jessica Simpson has a way of causing a stir by posting bikini pics. First, she posted a pic of her baby girl, Maxwell, in a yellow knit bikini. Remember that? And now, she's posted a revealing photo of her own very pregnant self in a bikini in front of her hotel mirror in Hawaii.

Jessica reminds me of my old friend Wendy in this photo. Every time she looked at herself in the mirror, she'd purse her lips in a sexy pouty face. Always cracked me up.

So what do you think of of this? Of course, some people think it's TMI to tweet a pic of one's pregnant belly. But I THINK IT'S FABULOUS.

The media criticized Jessica's weight gain ruthlessly during and after the birth of baby Maxwell, so I love that she's owning her body by posting a photo of herself proudly. People are also analyzing this second pregnancy so much — i.e., that it occurred so soon after Maxwell arrived and, reportedly, in the middle of a $4-million WeightWatcher's contract.

But this photo, in conjunction with its caption, "Bumpin' and proud," is a message from Jessica to all of us: She is, indeed, proud of this pregnancy, and of how great she looks.

By the way, this isn't the first time a celeb has proudly posted a pic of her pregnant belly. Remember Mariah Carey's painted belly tweets? Awesome.

And FYI, this bikini pic is kind of old news. Jessica tweeted it while I was away, Decemeber 30. But, since it's my job to keep you in the know (a privilege for me, I must say!), I thought I'd better share it with you. Also, Jessica and I have something in common: We both lost a ton of weight on WeightWatchers. I'm down 21 pounds! Seven more officially to go. Don't worry, though, I won't be posting a photo of myself in a bikini, like, ever. Hehe!
