This sounds like an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, what with all the hypno-stuff. I mean, any of you know anyone who tried hypnobirthing? I'd like to try hypnosis to get rid of my chai latte addiction.... So gross already!
Anyway! As you know, Jessica Alba (30) is expecting her second child in the fall. And apparently, she is a big believer in hypnobirthing and insists it helped her get through the birth of her first child, Honor Marie (almost 3).
Here's what she told reporters for People about hypnobirthing: I highly recommend it. It just makes you chill.... I was freaked my first time going into labor, like, "What if I panic? What if I just freak out and am not prepared for it?" This just prepares you. Even though she's said her pregnancy has been easier the second time around, Jess told reporters it's "a little harder on the body....My daughter still wants to be picked up and ever since my belly popped she’s really on me.”
Still, Jessica's not taking it easy. She recently embarked on a new role as creative director of HopScout -- another one of those online flash sale sites that showcases big deals on cool parent products.
From what she describes here, the company is VERY COOL: "I think the coolest part so far is I know as a mom how difficult it is to try and balance work and being a mom. We gave an opportunity to stay-at-home parents to completely work from home." She says the company's parent bloggers are given a salary, a computer and extra dough for groceries and school tuitions!! "I just love that we are encouraging and promoting parents to stay at home and raise their kids the way they want to," she says, "but they can also help provide some income which every family could use.”
Love! xo Haley-O
