So last night, Jennifer Lopez (41) -- who was just named People's Most Beautiful Person in the World -- showed up at an LA Best Buy to launch the BlackBerry PlayBook and her new album, LOVE?, wearing this....
There's a big stir all over the Internetz about this. Do you think it's too much (or, well, too little)? Or do you think, "If you've got it flaunt it"?
I'm definitely leaning toward "If you've got it flaunt it." I mean, how fabulous is it to see a 41-year-old celebrity mom of 3-year-old twins looking like that and, obviously, loving it.
Come to think of it, that outfit reminds of what JLo said in her "Most Beautiful" People interview (which actually quite inspires me as I get deeper into my late thirties): I think with people like me and Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry and Julia Roberts, this generation is redefining what it is to be a woman who is not in her 20s anymore but is still very viable, sexy and important. We have a lot to offer. And people are starting to realize the beauty in that. While other stars go to Playboy (Kelly Bensimon from The Real Housewives of NYC springs to mind) to show off their fabulous 40-something bods, JLo's doing it classy, I think....
And I love that JLo's outfit inspires this kind of conversation. I mean, if 20-something Blake Lively showed up somewhere in that outfit, would we all be questioning it?
But, of course, in my book JLo can do no wrong -- LOVE!
What do you think, Gorgeouses?
Love! xo Haley-O
