It was confirmed on Monday evening by US Weekly that Simon Helberg, 31, and his actress/writer/director wife, Jocelyn Towne, 34, welcomed a baby girl on May 8th. They have chosen the name Adeline, and, I’ve got to admit, I think it’s beautiful name.
The couple is rarely in the spotlight, even with the continued success of The Big Bang Theory, and they have been quiet about their pregnancy, taking a week before telling the press. They have been married since 2007, and a source tells Us that “Simon is excited to be a father – he’s been doing his reading.”
I’m not sure how he had time to read parenting books when trying to memorize his incredibly wordy television scripts, but I guess if anyone could multitask, it would be a member of the cast of that show. Who knows, maybe this will inspire him to get the writers to give his character Howard Wolowitz and his new bride Bernadette Rostenkowski (played by Melissa Rauch) a little one of their own (when he gets back from space, of course).
Congrats to the new parents!
I've never heard the name Adeline before, but absolutely love it. What you do you think about it?
