Heidi Klum and Seal: SPLIT

This is the second post in a row that I'm going to begin with HOLY COW! And, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever uttered "HOLY COW" in my life.

But HOLY COW! The most publicly affectionate couple — singing to each other, talking about each other, famously renewing their wedding vows every anniversary, and making pretty explicit videos of their loooove — have confirmed that they're separating after nearly seven years of what seemed like utterly blissful marriage. Sighhh! So sad.

Heidi Klum (38) and Seal (48) gave the following statement to People:

While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.

Sigh! And she spoke about him so adoringly and passionately when I saw her in person at CityLine. Seriously, I remember feeling inspired. Oh well.

Heidi and Seal have four kids together: Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

Supermodel/Project Runway star, Heidi, and Grammy-award winner, Seal, started dating back in 2003, when Heidi broke up with Flavio Briatore. She was pregnant with his child (Leni) at the time; Seal went on to adopt Leni.

In 2004, Seal proposed to Heidi in CANADA — in a custom-built igloo atop an extremely high glacier in Whistler, B.C..

They were married in May 2005 in Costa Careyes, Mexico.
