A modeling gig for a nine-month-old? I guess it's not that unheard of.

And it's no surprise that the world's youngest fashionista, nine-month-old Harper Seven Beckham, of course, has been offered her very first modeling gig.

And of course, several bloggers are making a big deal out of it (calling it weird and capitalizing SHE'S NINE MONTHS OLD, etc., etc.). But the modeling job is for kids' clothing company called My 1st Years, which sells chic baby gifts. So is it really that "weird"?

The company actually wrote an offer letter to Harper (which may be legitimately "weird" because Harper is NINE MONTHS OLD, heh, but it's CUTE and FUN!). Here's an excerpt (via My Daily):

We are delighted to inform you that the UK's leading manufacturer of personalised baby gifts,, would like to invite you to become the face of our new range. Both your parents are fashion icons, and we can see no reason why you shouldn't start your own career in the fashion industry even at your young age.

From what we have seen of you since your first public appearance less than a year ago, we know you have implacable style and taste. You were therefore the immediate first choice for our campaign.

Read the full letter HERE, and DISCUSS: Do you think this is so weird? Are you surprised that Harper Beckham has been offered a modeling gig so soon? (Frankly, I'm surprised Harper doesn't get offers every day and amazed if this is, indeed, the first offer she's had. This company's got chutzpa and, it would seem, excellent PR peeps...!)
