Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are engaged: Official

First we (and everyone else, for the record!) said they were engaged. Then we said, wellll, maybe they're not engaged. But now, it's official, Gorgeouses! Actress Halle Berry, 45, and her hunky French lovah, actor Olivier Marinez, are engaged! "Yes, of course it's true," Olivier, 46, told The Miami Herald.

So why all the back-and-forth? It turns out that jewelry designer "Gurhan," who claimed he designed the ring and started this whole thing in the first place, was full of shiitake mushrooms. Gurhan has been "taking credit for doing the ring and it's a lie!" Olivier exclaims. "They have nothing to do with this."

Olivier says Halle's stunning sparkler (bygones...) is designed by Robert Mazlo of the Parisian jeweler La Joaillerie par Mazlo. Olivier says these guys have been creating jewelry for "kings and queens for many centuries."

There you have it. ENGAGED, with a royal ring.

This is great news, of course, not least because Halle has a little one, Nahla, who seems to really enjoy her stepdad-to-be. Nahla turns 4 on Friday! Happy Birthday!
