Gwyneth Paltrow in TO for TIFF (PLUS live Annette Bening photos)

Some of you have been wondering why I'm not running around the city like a lunatic covering the Toronto International Film Festival, like I did last year.

Basically, a lot of you are in Toronto, but a lot of you ARE NOT in Toronto, so I have found that a lot of you would rather hear about Harper Beckham at New York Fashion Week (which is also going on now), than about what's going on in my backyard; besides, Kristen Stewart isn't a mom, so she's off limits anyway.

Also, to be honest, I've had a lot going on lately, so more than anything I just want to stay put this week. Hello! Canada threw another awesome party (they'll send us pics asap), but I looked way too exhausted to meet Adrian Grenier.... Sighh, another time!

So check out Gwyneth Paltrow, 39, arriving at our very own Toronto International Airport for TIFF last Saturday (above, left). She looked lovely as ever, though in no mood to deal with photogs (the giddy tweens behind her were loving it, of course). But what did she expect at the Toronto airport, TIFF time?

Awesome! (Again, it's totally all about ankle boots this season.)

And although I haven't been stargazing around downtown Toronto, my friends have seen some good ones. The lovely Beth Merrick kindly sent me these awesome photos of Annette Bening (one of my favourites!) kissing Glee's Darren Criss goodbye at the TIFF screening of their latest film Imogene, which also stars Matt Dillon and Kristen Wiig.
