George Clooney & Elisabetta Canalis: Split!

It's official. Rumours of a breakup have been swirling for a while now, and it turns out they're true. George Clooney (50) is on the market again, Gorgeouses. It's over between him and Italian model/actress Elisabetta Canalis (32).

"We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy," the former couple announced in a statement earlier today.

Why did they break up? The speculation is that Elisabetta wanted to get married, and George fled....

George and Elisabetta had been together for over a year and were last seen as a couple on George's 50th birthday last month.
