Claire Danes opens up to Elle Magazine about why she'd make a "lousy" stay-at-home mom.
Check it out! It's new mom Claire Danes, 33, on the cover of the February issue of Elle Magazine! Gorgeous.
In the magazine, the Emmy award-winning actress talks a bit about starting a family in the midst of a soaring career:
I’ve always wanted to have kids, but I’m glad I didn’t until now. When I was thinking about [working] originally, I was really nervous about it…I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mom. It just wouldn’t suit me. I feel so fortunate, in that I’ve had this arrow-straight focus…that I wanted to act.
I have a feeling some stay-at-home moms may take issue with what Claire said — especially the many stay-at-home moms who also have "arrow-straight focuses."
In all fairness to Claire, though, I don't think I've ever seen a vaguer interview. It seems like she's trying to play it safe on this contentious topic, offering these vague snippets of thoughts that don't necessarily follow logically.
Like the Claire Danes we know and love, she's made it hard for us to read her.
What do you think?
Check out the rest of the interview over at Elle.com!
Love!
