Singer Ciara is expecting her first child

The 28-year-old Grammy award-winning singer/actress/model is expecting her first child with her fiancé, rapper/producer Future.

Ciara announced the big news on The View yesterday, Tuesday, January 14, and discussed it later that day with HuffPost Live.
"It really is a blessing," she said. "It's the most exciting time in my life. I'm really excited, like a little kid."
"I did have a preference before I found out what it was," she said of the baby's sex. "[The result] was different than what I thought, but my fiancé got what he wanted." Hmmm, that's quite a hint (at least the HuffPost Live interview thought it was and joked that she blew the surprise)!
Famous for her midriff-baring tops, the "1, 2, Step" singer is up for a complete wardrobe overhaul. "I kind of want to take the theme that baggy is the new sexy," she laughs. "I don't know, I just want to be comfortable. When I can't wear heels anymore, I won't wear heels. I'll be putting on my Jordans. My Jordans and my Uggs will be my best friends, but it's all about being comfortable."

"I believe that pregnancy within itself is sexy and I don't believe I have to show you that I still can be," she added. "I kind of like it actually not being about abs and all that stuff. I really love this phase that I'm going through in my life and I just want to live in it. I just want to be a 'mommy-to-be.'"
As for her music? Ciara says she's more inspired than ever: "I'm in the most comfortable creative space I could possibly be in. I will actually be giving my fans something really soon and I'm really excited about it because it's so beautiful."
This will be the first child for Ciara, the fourth for Future (one of his kids is just 13 months). The couple started dating about a year ago and became engaged last October.
