Charlie Sheen's children....

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughters were spotted going for frozen yogurt with their nanny yesterday, in Calabasas, California.

As you may have noticed, I haven't talked about Charlie Sheen at all on this blog -- except once, when I sent you to some other site in a Sugar Rush. I just find the whole story disturbing. Not funny at all. Nobody's "winning" except for certain people in the media who are getting wicked ratings because of this whole mess.

The saddest part of the whole thing is, of course, that there are children involved. Charlie and Denise's kids, Sam (7) and Lola (6), are certainly old enough to have a clue about what's going on.

When I saw Denise on The View the other day when I was strapped to a dentist's chair for 5 hours (that's the only way you could get me to watch The View, by the way), she wouldn't say much about how she's talking to her daughters about their father. No matter how many time's Bawbwa Walters grilled her -- "What do you say to them? One sentence. Can you give us one line?" -- Denise wouldn't budge. She only revealed that she was having the conversation. Other than the difficult conversations, Sam and Lola are apparently leading normal lives.

But their father is basically MIA -- which is probably a good thing. Although it's very sad that he missed Sam's 7th birthday party, as well as the second birthday of his twins with Brooke Mueller, Max and Bob.

While Charlie is out winning what's clearly a losing battle, Denise is celebrating her daughters -- even writing a sweet tweet for her daughter's birthday: "Happy 7th Birthday to my beautiful daughter Sami! You and Lola are my little pillars of strength...I love you.."

They look sad in this photo (above), despite the fro yo. Their heads are bowed as they hold on tight to their nanny's hands.

Love....
