The stars will be celebrating each other at tonight's Grammys with heavy hearts. Here's how Whitney will be honoured
To the left is a photo of Whitney Houston and her then-18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, at last year's Pre-Grammy Gala & Salute to Industry Icons, hosted, as always, by Clive Davis.
As you now know, they didn't make it to this year's gala. Whitney was found dead by her assistant in the bathtub of her hotel room. We've now learned that Bobbi Kristina was in the hotel at the time of her mother's death. And she was rushed to the hospital this morning for severe panic attacks.*
Our thoughts are with Bobbi and the family.
In the meantime, the music industry is celebrating and honouring Whitney tonight. According to LL Cool J (heard on E!'s red carpet pre-show), there was no doubt in anyone's mind that they would do a tribute to Whitney at the awards show this evening. And they've apparently invited Jennifer Hudson, whom LL sees as the closest thing to Whitney, to sing during the in memoriam segment of the show.
We'll all be trying to keep things light while honouring Whitney.
*Updates: Bobbi Kristina has been released from hospital, and her father, Bobby Brown, is flying down to be with her. In addition, the results of Whitney's autopsy are in, and they're (curiously) on "security hold," which is making everyone wonder if, indeed, foul play was involved.

Please share your thoughts on the night's styles, events, performances, etc., with me on Twitter (Twitter.com/Cheaty)! I'll be busy prepping a gorj gallery for you all evening (possibly all night), so I may not respond immediately (or at all). But I really want to hear your thoughts, and maybe share them with everyone tomorrow! Let's see how that goes. Otherwise, email them to me at haley[dot]overland[AT]rci.rogers.com.
Love! xo Haley-O
