Britney Spears is engaged!

Britney Spears (30) and Jason Trawick (40) are engaged! It's official: Jason confirmed it with Billy Bush, host of Access Hollywood.

“Yes, we are engaged,” he told Billy earlier today, and they are both “over the moon.”

As Access Hollywood pointed out (alas, I don't follow Britney on Facebook!), Britney hinted at the news on her Facebook page just this morning: “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo”

A little history (again, care of Access).... Jason and Britney first met when she was married to Kevin Federline (dad to Britney's sons, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5). He was her TV manager at the time. He left his post as TV manager in 2009, when he and Britney started dating. But he did stick around, professionally speaking, to star as Britney's "hero" in her "Criminal" music video.

This will be Britney's third marriage. She married her highschool buddy Jason Alexander in 2004 (the marriage was annulled after just 55 hours) and, later that year, Kevin Federline (they divorced in 2007).
