After Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards, Adele opened up to reporters about motherhood, the challenge of Skyfall and why she won't be sharing her new baby's name.
As if we weren't already in love with Adele... It's pretty clear we are now — truly, madly, deeply!
The 24-year-old multiple Grammy award-winning singer displayed her adorable British sense of humour in full force during her acceptance speech (for her Best Original Song win for Skyfall) at the Golden Globes last Sunday.
“Honestly I came for a night out with my friend Ayda, we’re new mums," Adele told the star-studded audience. "I was not expecting this. Thank you so much."
“This is for my boyfriend, Simon [Konecki], who convinced me to do it," she continued, holding up the award, "and my lovely son. Thank you so much.”
At the post-show press conference, Adele shared a bit about why creating the title song for the hit movie required some convincing. “It is a huge responsibility and a lot of pressure. That movie was huge, and I was pregnant," she said. "I had my child about two weeks before the film came out, so it was bad timing.”
And now that all that hard work is done, Adele is (clearly) reaping the rewards... and steeped in motherhood! “I am exhausted," she told reporters. "That’s how [motherhood] changed me. I have eczema from boiling bottles."
And while she'll talk openly about girls' nights out and being a new "mum," she's keeping her baby's life private. “I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me,” she said. “I am enjoying him on my own.”
