Adele has reportedly not registered her baby boy with the British government within the required time limit and may face a fine.
Looks like our favourite British new mom might be facing a baby fine.
According to various tabloids, Adele neglected to register her baby boy with the British government within the 42-day limit.
If our calculations are correct, her baby was born 52 days ago, and she allegedly hasn't made an appointment to sign him up. So she's looking at a possible £1000 ($1,606 US) fine.
"Cops are hardly going to be banging on their door tomorrow, and it's probably just an oversight on their part," a source for The Sun UK says. "Most parents register their baby within a couple of weeks because it's a nice thing to do — and because there's a maximum fine of £1,000 if they don't. There’s loads of reasons why parents are late and millions of couples don’t bother for ages."
Now they'll probably just get warning letters. And after three months, says the newspaper, they're looking at possibly being fined.
Of course, we have no info on Adele's baby boy either. The very private singer hasn't announced the baby's name publicly.
