Don't you dare get up. No, you don't have to pee. She said "I want a drink." I said "shut up and go to sleep."
Pittsburgh dad, Reed Verdesoto, has had enough of his kids and their nighttime shenanigans. I'm sure you experienced a bedtime battle last night—your kids tried every excuse in the book so they didn't have to go to bed. They have to pee, they want a drink, their arm mysteriously hurts. This dad of three knows all the tricks so he wrote a song about it.
He made a hilarious parody to to the tune of Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance," his version is called "Shut Up and Go to Sleep."
He starts by saying (with sippy cup in hand) "Good morning. I didn't sleep last night. Or the night before, and it's because of my kids." Prepare yourself because this song will be stuck in your head all day.
It's really catchy, and what's even funnier is he looks half asleep while he's singing the song—hello, dark circles. He ends off his amazing song by saying "I'm going back to bed now"—as you should, Verdesoto, you definitely earned it.
