They don't reveal too much except one frightening scene.
Ka-Chow! Everyone's favourite race car, Lightning McQueen, is coming back to the big screen in Summer 2017, but after checking out the teaser trailer, we're not sure how we feel about it.
Walt Disney Studios released a 51-second-long teaser trailer of the upcoming film, Cars 3, which shows a race in progress. But just when we're expecting to see the happy faces of our favourite characters – like Sally Carrera and goofy Mater – it gets disturbing. McQueen, voiced by Owen Wilson, starts to lose control as the announcer in the background screams "McQueen is fading, fading fast!" Then you hear a crash and see Lightning McQueen spiralling through the air—and is he on fire?!
How can Pixar do this to us after making us wait five years since Cars 2? The tagline at the end reads "From this moment, everything will change."
We're not sure if we're more excited or scared to see what happens to Lightning, but as long as there are no car deaths—because they can't break up these two buddies, they just can't—we're all for this new, edgy spin on a Disney-Pixar film.
