After struggling with infertility, Tyra Banks is finally a mom.
America's Next Top Baby is here!
Tyra Banks, 42, surprised us all with the announcement that she had a baby boy. Tyra, who has been open about her struggles with infertility, welcomed York Banks Asla via surrogate last night.
Last September, Tyra talked about her experience with infertility on her show FABLife.
"I've had some not happy moments with that—very traumatic moments," she said. "It's difficult as you get older. It's not something that can just happen."
Tyra and her boyfriend, photographer Erik Asla, had also tried IVF in hopes of conceiving.
“We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik,” Tyra says to People.
She calls her surrogate an "angel that carried our miracle baby boy." Awww!
“As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms,” she told People.
We're so happy for Tyra and can't wait to see little York make his runway (or Instagram) debut! He better start perfecting his smize.
