Wow! "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover" singer Sophie B. Hawkins had a baby girl—at 50 years old! Check out the baby's name.
It's a girl for Sophie B. Hawkins! Sweet, right? But, the wild part everyone's talking about this morning is... the beloved "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover" singer is 50 years old.
Yes, at age 50, Sophie has welcomed her second child. And the baby's name is... Esther Ballantine Hawkins.
Weighing in at eight pounds, baby Esther was born at 4:49 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Campus—the very same hospital Sophie was born in, yes, 50 years ago. (Her rep confirmed the news to People.)

This is the second child for Sophie. She's also mom to six-year-old son, Dashiell.
“I found Dashiell really needs a sibling,” she told People back in February, when she announced her pregnancy. “My son has one parent who’s 50. I want him to have a family of young people too!”
According to People, in order to conceive this second time around, Sophie was implanted with her own frozen embryo and used a sperm donor.
Congrats to the family!
