Sick kids can now travel the world while being treated

St. Jude Dream Adventures is helping sick kids go scuba diving in Mexico, see the Monkey Jungle in Florida, go swimming with exotic fish and so much more. With the help of Expedia, kids who are being treated at St. Jude's Children Hospital can go on personalized adventures around the world using a 360-degree installation at the hospital and live-streaming equipment at the dream destination.

The trips are guided by Expedia employees who have experienced serious illness in their own lives. Kids can interact with the guides and special guests during the tour. They can also "touch" objects making the experience as realistic as possible.

These "trips" allow kids to escape their own lives for a little while. Their pure joy will make you tear up.

Expedia hopes to make a permanent installation soon.
