Scarlett Johansson welcomes a baby girl

Scarlett Johansson is a mom!

The 29-year-old Lucy actress and her fiancé, Romain Dauriac, welcomed a baby girl on September 4. Their rep released a statement to the Associated Press saying, "mother and daughter are doing well," and the baby's name is...Rose Dorothy.

Rose is such a lovely, classic name and, come to think of it, a lot like "Scarlett." Both, you know, shades of red? That's actually kind of sweet. What do you think?

According to People, "the baby’s middle name is an homage to Johansson’s grandmother, whom she called 'the first Francophone in my family' while accepting her honorary César in Paris last February."

The couple's rep also warned they won't be sharing any baby photos for a long time—reminding the press that they are "supporters of the No Kids Policy, the celebrity effort to keep famous folks' children out of the public eye."

Scarlett's pregnancy was confirmed back in March, when Marvel Studios’s president of production, Kevin Feige, spilled the beans in an interview with Collider.com.

“Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her,” he said of the pregnancy, “and my second reaction was we’ve gotta move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise Avengers 2>. But we didn’t change the script at all, which is sort of the most important thing for us in terms of the storyline. I think the goal is for us to sit here talking about the fact that you would never know that Black Widow was pregnant during the filming of the movie when you see the final version of Avengers 2.”

Scarlett and Romain began dating in November 2012 and got engaged last fall.
