Ryan Reynolds would use Blake Lively as shield to protect baby

Mississippi Grind actor Ryan Reynolds, 38, appeared on the Late Show on Wednesday, February 4, and had a laugh with host David Letterman about his one-month-old baby girl's name—which, as you know, has been hidden well under a veil of secrecy.
As you'll see in the clip below, David hilariously grills Ryan on what the name might be. Though Ryan confesses to feeling tempted to reveal it, we only get a few hints: It's a family name; it's biblical; and it's not "Elaine" (or various other names David suggests).
"A good Canadian name would be nice," Ryan jokes. "Gordon."
In case you had any doubts, the baby does, indeed, have a name. Alhough, Ryan says, "I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original." He just doesn't want to divulge it in a "media context." If you bumped into him on the street, then, he might tell you.
After exhausting the topic of baby names, David and Ryan go on to discuss another topic: Ryan's gorgeous wife, Blake Lively, 27. "It's amazing," he says. "I'm not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I'd ever been in my entire life. I couldn't even believe it."
"I used to say to her, 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' I would say that to my wife," he continues. "And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."
Not the smartest thing to say about your wife right before Valentine's Day, as David points out!
"[As] the guy, I'm just like a diaper-changing facility hooked up to a life-support system," Ryan adds. "But my wife, she's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She's a human Denny's—all day long and all night long. Romantic right? She's the most beautiful Denny's you've ever seen, though, I guarantee." Awww!
