Pink: I don't take well to bullying

After being bullied for her weight gain, Pink fights back by pointing out that she's human, a mom, and that her "life is full."

Speaking of fat shaming...

After being trolled on social media for her weight, Pink, 35, is firing back at her bullies—reminding everyone that, though she's known for her tough exterior, she's human, a mom.

"I don't take well to bullying," she told Entertainment Tonight at Wednesday's BMI Pop Awards. "I never have. I'm not a person that will be bullied. I'm not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied."

"I'm raising a girl," she added, referring to three-year-old daughter Willow with hubby Carey Hart. "I am a girl. People think I take no sh*t and I'm tough, tougher than nails, but I'm a human being."

Pink took the opportunity, too, to remind haters that their opinions aren't as weighty as they think.

"I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don't care. My life is full," she said. "I like food a lot and I really like to cook. I like to live. I find joy in that and we're doing alright in the Hart household." Go, Pink!

Back in April, Pink was attacked for looking like she had put on weight at the John Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball, and responded with this long tweet:

I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight. You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful. So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about [me]. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either :)… I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.”

We  you, Pink—strong mama! And admirably, not at all sesquipedalian.*

(*FYI: I dared myself on Twitter to use the OED word of the day, sesquipedalian, in this blog post. So, there you go.)
