Are you ready to see Olivia Wilde's fancy new breastfeeding glamour shot? Before you judge, check out what she has to say.
Some of you are going to love this, and some of you will protest that the Glamour Magazine image of actress Olivia Wilde, 30, breastfeeding her naked three-month-old son, Otis Alexander, in a Roberto Cavalli dress, is too far from reality, air brushed, unrelatably glam. You look(ed) nothing like this.

Well, let me tell you, I looked nothing like this either, of course. And none of my friends looked like this. It is not real, as far as most moms are concerned—it's total Hollywood fantasy. But, I can't look away. Can you? And it doesn't bother me at all; I think it's gorgeous (but I have a feeling many of our Facebook readers and, indeed, many of my other friends and colleagues won't be the biggest fans of this).
Before I send you to said glamorous shot, check out what Olivia has to say about breastfeeding, and how, thankfully, she admits this isn't what she normally looks like nursing baby Otis. Indeed, how fitting on World Breastfeeding Week! Good timing, Glamour.
“You can be someone who is at once maternal and professional and sexy and self-possessed," she tells the mag in the cover story for their September issue. "[But] I mean, I certainly don’t really look like that when I’m [typically] breastfeeding. And there’s usually a diaper involved." Oh, thank goodness—ha!

“Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn’t complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that,” Olivia continues. “Breastfeeding is the most natural thing. I don’t know, now it feels like Otis should always be on my breast. It felt like we were capturing that multifaceted woman we’ve been discussing—that we know we can be.” Makes sense...
Judgement is as natural as breastfeeding, I believe. It's healthy to recognize and accept our own judgement so we can try to be tolerant of other people's choices—especially if they don't affect us personally.

As for Olivia? Fancy celebrity or not, she's a proud working mom, following in her own mother's footsteps.
"My mom is such a badass working mother," she tells the mag. "That inspired me when I was pregnant. I wasn’t going to sacrifice myself because I was becoming a mother.”

Becoming a working mother isn't the only major thing on Olivia's agenda either. The very busy star and actor Jason Sudeikis have a wedding to plan!
“We’re engaged, but no specific plans yet—we just have to find the time to put it together,” Olivia says. “In many ways, a child is more of a commitment. We are fully committed and really happy as a family.”
“There’s no definition of the ‘normal family’ anymore,” she explains. “Kids today are growing up with so many different definitions of family. I guess what I’m saying is that I don’t feel any pressure to do it. But I think it will be really fun.”
