Our favourite Muppet (sorry Kermit) is getting a major award, and she'll be interviewed by Gloria Steinem.
Exciting news for all fans of the fabulous Miss Piggy! The actress, author and fashion diva is not only winning her very first award, but she's being honoured as a trailblazer.
On June 4, Miss Piggy will accept the First Award from The Brooklyn Museum’s Sackler Center. Then she'll do a Q+A with activist and author, Gloria Steinem.
This prestigious award is given to “extraordinary women who are first in their fields." Miss Piggy is certainly that.
“Miss Piggy embodies exceptional spirit, determination and grit, when needed,” says Elizabeth Sacker, the award’s namesake and founder of the museum.
And how did the Muppet Queen react? She couldn’t be more thrilled. “It is truly wonderful to be celebrated and share this honour with fellow legends, role models, and pioneers of female fabulosity! We rock!” says Miss Piggy
No, Miss Piggy—YOU rock!
