One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is going to be a dad!

Louis Tomlinson, 23, of the British boy band One Direction is going in another direction—the heartthrob is having a baby! He and his friend, stylist Briana Jungwirth, also 23, are soon-to-be parents.

“Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad, and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother," a friend of the couple tells People. "It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer."

Louis and Briana met through friends and were seen going out on several dates back in May—after Louis broke up with his last girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, in March. Their parents (and stepparents) met each other for the first time over the July Fourth weekend, reportedly to celebrate the news.

The baby is said to be due in early 2016, and Louis has promised to be present at the birth and a "hands-on dad," according to People's source. Since Briana is based in L.A., Louis has even been looking for a home in the area, and he's been flying in from London for all the ultrasounds.

Louis' mom, Johanna, is actually a midwife and mom of seven! So, the couple is definitely in good hands.

In the meantime, Louis is "having too much fun" with One Direction—despite the recent departure of bandmate Zayn Malik. And he assures us they won't be breaking up. Phew?! (I'm not a One Direction fan, but imagine the chaos this would cause among tweens and teens if One Direction was no more...😱😫😭.)
