Julie's Greenroom will teach preschoolers all about the performing arts.
You hear that? It's the sound of music.
That's right, Oscar-winner Julie Andrews is back and this time she's starring in her own Netflix series, Julie's Greenroom. The show is in collaboration with The Jim Henson Company (you know the people who brought us Sesame Street and The Muppet Show).
Aimed at preschoolers, the live-action show will have Julie play the leader of a performing arts company who teaches her fellow puppet troupe, known as "the Greenies," all about theatre, dance, improv, circus arts and singing. But there's no word if there will be singing in the hills.
Each episode will feature original music and guest stars like Alec Baldwin, Tituss Burgess, Josh Groban, Ellie Kemper and Idina Menzel. Yes, Frozen meets Mary Poppins...
Netflix has ordered 13 half-hour episodes so far.
We don't know about you, but we are in dire need of some Julie Andrews in our life, right now. We've missed our fair queen of Genovia.
Julie's Greenroom is set to debut early next year.
