It's the circle of life—The Lion King is coming to TV
Disney Channel is bringing The Lion King back with a made-for-TV sequel. And you won't believe who's playing Simba!
Disney announced they're bringing Simba, Nala and their adorable lion cubs to a TV near you. Yes! You just have to wait until November. Until then, we'll have the original movie's soundtrack on repeat...
The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar will be a primetime TV movie, which will then become a TV series beginning in 2016. The film will follow Kion, Simba and Nala's second-born cub, as he becomes a member of the Lion Guard, a group of animals who protect the Pride Lands.
The best part? The actor who will be roaring as Simba is none other than Rob Lowe. *Swoon*!
Make sure to check out Disney Junior's short trailer for the new movie! As for me, I'm going to go watch The Lion King and sing "Circle of Life" all day. For real.
