This show is BANANAS! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
L.A.M.B. fans will be delighted to hear that now a whole new generation can fall in love with Gwen Stefani's awesomeness. The singer, fashion designer and reality show judge has created her own animated kids' TV show with Nickelodeon called Kuu Kuu Harajuku. Move over, Spongebob; your pesky pineapple under the sea is no match for this super kawaii masterpiece.
The series is set in the colourful and fashionable world of Harajuku and follows the adventures of a group of girls named Love, Angel, Music and Baby and their leader, G, an animated version of the former No Doubt front woman. The girls are trying to start a band called HJ5, but obstacles—including hungry monster pets, angry aliens and a teen genie—prevent them from actually playing a concert. Don't worry, the girls never give up. Stefani also sings the show's theme song because she's GWEN.
“I love that this is an animated series for young girls that celebrates creativity, imagination and individuality,” says Stefani.
Pretty sure kids won't be the only ones watching. As a Stefani super fan myself, I'm sure this show will be BANANAS and I can't wait to tune in. The series premiere airs on Nickelodeon October 3rd at 4 pm.
