Tune in to the 57th Annual GRAMMYs on City this Sunday! See which of your fave celebrity parents are up for awards this year.
Get set for the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards this Sunday, February 8, starting at 6:30 p.m., on City. To prep for the main event, let's review some of the talented parents to look out for on the red carpet and live on stage.
(Psssst! Catch me tweeting live—@cheaty and @todaysparent—and share your fave fashion and parent moments with me using the hashtags #cityGRAMMYs and #GRAMMYs. I may quote you in our "Moms who rock the GRAMMYs red carpet" roundup Monday.)
Of course, Beyonce is up for more GRAMMY awards this year, and—goodie!—she'll be performing. The mom of one has six nominations: Album of the Year (Beyoncé); Best R&B Performance ("Drunk in Love"); Best R&B Song ("Drunk in Love"); Best Urban Contemporary Album (Beyoncé); Best Surround Sound Album (Beyoncé); and Best Music Film (Beyoncé & Jay Z: On The Run tour).
Just for fun, allow me to interrupt this roundup to give you my boyfriend Will Ferrell lip-syncing "Drunk in Love" on Jimmy Fallon's show (he also lip-sync's Frozen's "Let It Go" around 6:30 minutes in!):
To be extra extra clear, dad-of-three Will Ferrell is not nominated for any GRAMMY awards this year.
People love to hate Kanye West, but I find him thoroughly entertaining—probably for the all the reasons people love to hate him. This year, Kanye is up for two awards: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Bound 2," featuring Charlie Wilson) and Best Rap Song ("Bound 2"). He'll also be performing alongside Rihanna and Sir Paul McCartney. And that is going to be awesome.
Mom-of-one Pink is up for Best Music Film for The Truth About Love Tour: Live From Melbourne.
Look out for a very pregnant Carrie Underwood on the GRAMMYs red carpet. The singer is up for Best Country Solo Performance ("Something in the Water") and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("Somethin’ Bad" with Miranda Lambert).
Dad-of-three Eminem is up for multiple awards this year: Best Rap Performance ("Rap God"), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("The Monster," featuring Rihanna) and Best Rap Album (The Marshall Mathers LP 2)
Dad-of-two Usher is nominated for two awards: Best R&B Performance ("Good Kisser") and Best R&B Song ("Good Kisser").
Mom-of-two Christina Aguilera is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the song "Say Something," by A Great Big World.
Dad-of-two Keith Urban scored two GRAMMY noms this year: Best Country Solo Performance ("Cop Car") and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("Raise ‘Em Up," featuring Eric Church).
Dad-of-three Tim McGraw is up for two awards for the song "Meanwhile Back at Mama's," featuring wife Faith Hill: Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song.
Mom-of-three Faith Hill is nominated for one award, Best R&B Performance for the song "It’s Your World," featuring R. Kelly.
More parents to watch: Jennifer Hudson Barbara Streisand Annie Lennox Mary J. Blige (love!) Jhené Aiko Toni Braxton Lee Ann Womack Tony Bennett Jack White Aloe Blacc Wiz Khalifa Eric Church Dierks Bentley Ziggy Marley
