Charlize Theron adopts a baby girl (report)

I'm on my annual summer holiday, but when I got this tip this morning, as I was rolling up my yoga mat by the lake, I knew I had to bring it to you this morning—like, ASAP. So, here's the scoop: Charlize Theron reportedly adopted a baby girl and named her August.

Hmm, that's fitting news for today—August 1!

According to TMZ, Charlize spent the last six month working with an adoption agency to adopt her baby girl—who they say is African-American and born in the U.S.

Baby August joins Charlize's son, Jackson, whom she adopted from South Africa three years ago.

This news doesn't come as a complete surprise. While promoting her latest movie, Mad Max: Fury Road, the Oscar-winning actress said she was open to expanding her family.

“Yeah. I mean, I’m so open to anything in my life," she said. "I was never like, ‘Oh god no just one.’ I was always kind of open to whatever kind of happens.”

And as to the question you're all asking... Is she still dating Sean Penn (my mom, who's here at the cottage just asked, FYI)? It looks like they broke up back in May. Wahhhh. I like them together.

So far, Charlize's reps haven't commented on the adoption, but we'll keep you posted.
