Get on this, Canada! President Obama has signed the Bathrooms Accessible in Every Situation Act, aka the BABIES Act, into law, which mandates that both women’s and men’s washrooms in publicly accessible federal buildings must have a changing table. Dads, here’s to no more dealing with a code brown on the nasty floor of a bathroom as your baby squirms off a not-big-enough changing pad. And PS: No more calling not-it on a up-the-back blowout.

Celebrity dad Ashton Kutcher, who’s expecting his second child with Mila Kunis, has famously taken on this cause via social media and a Change.org campaign, using the hashtag #BeTheChange to call on big box stores like Target and Costco to install changing tables. No comment yet from him on the BABIES Act.

Although this law only applies to federal buildings, it’s a step in the “potty parity” direction.
