Two high-profile Hollywood parent splits in the news: Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are divorcing, and Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart have ended it.
It's a big day for celebrity splits, I'm sorry to report. Two high-profile splits have been announced: Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas (who no one thought would ever split), and Jennifer Lopez and young Casper Smart (we knew it was only a matter of time).

Melanie, 56, and Antonio, 53, have ended their 18-year marriage. Citing irreconcilable differences, Melanie filed earlier today in Los Angeles. According to TMZ (who were the first to obtain court documents and report), she is seeking child and spousal support, as well as physical custody of their daughter, Stella, with visitation rights for Antonio—even though Stella turns 18 in September.

TMZ says the split is amicable.
This was the fourth marriage for Melanie (she married Don Johnson twice, and their daughter, Dakota, stars in the movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey), and the second for Antonio.
Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart
After two and a half years together, Jennifer, 44, and Casper, 27, have split. Rumour has it there was some sexting going on, involving Casper and someone he met through Instagram, but reports say this had nothing to do with their split.
"They initially split about six weeks ago, but that can take a little time to extricate," says a source for People. "But they've definitely broken up.... The relationship had just run its course."

Like Melanie and Antonio, Jennifer and Casper say they plan to remain friends and that the split is amicable.
Jennifer is mom to six-year-old twins Max and Emme.
