Welcome, Tobias!

Pro surfers Adam Dirks and Bethany Hamilton—who is famous for losing her arm to a shark attack more than a decade ago—welcomed their baby boy on June 1. And they introduced him to the world yesterday, June 15, on Instagram.

"Blessed to welcome our son, Tobias, into the world," Bethany captions the sweet Instagram pic (above). "Born June 1st, 7.9 lbs. and 21" Long. He is named after his great grandpa Tobias meaning 'The goodness of God.' Adam and I so in love with our lil guy and are stoked to share life with him! #stokedmomma."

Indeed, surfing fans were stoked that Bethany continued to surf throughout most of her pregnancy. She and Adam also delighted fans by documenting much the journey on Instagram—with fun pregnancy surfing and beach pics like these ones...

Bethany and Adam announced their pregnancy back in February with this awesome video featuring a Q&A, in which they muse about their new "adventure" as parents: how she'll manage caring for a squirmy newborn with one arm (though she says she forgets she has only one arm), how Adam foresees adjusting to the "father role," and how they'll integrate the new baby into their busy surfing and filming lives. Watch!

"We're super stoked about this new adventure." Inspiring...

Congrats to the family!
