An ode to spring in 10 GIFs

Goodbye winter, hello spring. Sorry, winter but we won't miss you at all. Sure, when you first arrive we're all excited. We imagine having a perfect white Christmas where we make snow angels and then warm up with hot cocoa. But in reality winter is more like this:

It's been a rough winter for Canadians. The Prairies experienced a deep freeze. Ontario and Quebec got hit with a mix of snow and ice storms. The Maritimes are still digging themselves out from beneath all that snow. And even British Columbia had a severe winter storm. Needless to say everyone, even our pets, are ready for the snow to melt and the temperatures to rise.

As parents, the worst part of winter is all the layers.

But spring is officially here and that means less layers. Cue the happy dance:

We just can't wait to enjoy spring. We're going to put on our rain boots and jump in the puddles.

Maybe sleep in a bed of daisies.

And marvel at every cardinal, robin and blue jay we see.
