It seems like we have an emoji for everything, yet we still find ourselves saying “I wish there was an emoji for that.” The newest set of emojis, Emoji Version 5.0, is scheduled for release June 30, and we could not be more excited. Breastfeeding moms, you can now let your friends and loved ones know what your day – make that your existence – has been all about, in a single tap of the finger.
We’re hoping this welcome addition goes some way to reducing the stigma around images of breastfeeding.
This latest batch of emojis is so #relatable for parents, even if your guzzling-baby years are over. The zombie emoji will come in handy when you’re trying to function on Day Five without sleep. The wizard emoji is totally you too, on those days you succeed in calming down your toddler mid-grocery-store meltdown. (You’re the Harry Potter of tantrum taming; you know it, we know it, and the world should know it.) And the women-with-a-hijab emoji is finally on the way, for all you mommas who’ve been waiting impatiently. We’re so happy that emojis are continuing to grow in diversity.
