Recall: Tommee Tippee Sippee Spill-Proof Cups

More than 3 million cups sold are at risk for developing mould.

Mayborn USA Inc. has recalled five types of spill-proof Tommee Tippee Sippee cups with a removable, one-piece white valve due to the risk of mould ingestion. Approximately 227,000 affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 3.1 million were sold in the United States between December 2014 and May 2016. Here are the affected products:

The recall is due to the risk of mould developing on the removable valve inside the cups when it remains wet or moist and is infrequently cleaned. Health Canada has received seven reports related to this issue, including one report of potential illness. In Canada, Mayborn USA Inc. has received 484 reports of mould, including four reports of potential illness. In the United States, the company has received 3,066 reports of mould, including 68 reports of potential illness.
